Muammar Gaddafi should step down says the country.


Young Arabs overwhelmingly believe that Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi should step down, a poll conducted in several countries across the Middle East has revealed.Around 75 per cent of respondents in the third annual ASDA'A Burston-Marsteller Arab Youth Survey said Gaddafi's 42-year reign should end, while 75 per cent said the protests gripping the North African country would have a positive impact.Only three per cent of respondents said the removal of the Libyan leader would have a negative impact on the Arab state.The survey of youth, aged 18 to 24, in 10 Middle Eastern countries showed widespread support for the uprisings sweeping the region.Three quarters of respondents said they backed the removal of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, while 63 per cent said the ousting of Tunisia's former leader, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, was a positive move.
